Description
This picture is of some abandoned buildings in Rodney, MS. This is one of my favorite pictures that I took there.
If you ever get the chance to travel to, or in, Mississippi, you should take a trip to the old historic "ghost town" of Rodney. I call it the "town that time forgot", because of the buildings that have been left behind, which look like the townspeople just up and left everything as is. Sadly, a lot of people know about this quaint community (it's not big enough to be called a town anymore), but not a lot of people seem to care enough (in my opinion) to try to maintain the buildings that still stand- to include a couple of churches and what appears to be an old general store.
This is a great place for people who love history (at least as much as I do), and who love taking pictures. There's actually at least one family that my husband and I found, that still live here. There may be a few more, but I'm not sure.
There's one church there, in particular, that has a lot of interesting history to it. And if there's one thing I love, it's history. But I'll tell you more about these other buildings when I get around to posting pictures of them. And I'll update this description area with a link to the other pictures, as soon as I get around to uploading them (I've got a lot of pictures from Rodney that I took last year). Until then, you can read about this community here: [link] and here: [link]
